Change comes with great uncertainty but many a times it is necessary. When I reflect on change, one chapter in the bible that comes to mind is Joshua chapter 1. In this chapter, after the death of Moses the Lord told Joshua to lead the people of Israel.
I could imagine how Joshua must have felt. Moses was an extraordinary leader and I am sure that Joshua was overwhelmed as his shoes were huge ones to fill.
The Lord in Joshua chapter 1 verse 5 reminded his servant that he will be with him as he was with Moses. He also promised Joshua that he will not fail him nor forsake him in this pivotal moment of change.
So too you and I must rely on God in during a career change.
The following is a powerful prayer that you can say for career change:-
Dear Heavenly Father,
You are the only true and living God. There is no other God besides you. You are a loving and wonderful father.
You are master, creator, king, deliverer, provider and healer of my life. You are my source and my strength.
I bring my decision concerning my career change to you. Lord, I am weak and weary but you are powerful and all knowing. Reveal to me the plans for the next phase of my career journey.
Order my steps oh Lord as I rely on you to lead me as I consider my options for the next phase of my career.
I am depending on you for clarity. Help me to find a role that I love with understanding bosses and colleagues.
And I will give you all the praise, glory and honour for blessing the works of my hands.
In Jesus Name. Amen.
